Prioritizing Earthquake Drill Programs

 

 

            An unpredictable event of nature, earthquake can cause much damage and destructions and much loss of life. During an earthquake injury and death to persons are usually caused by falling objects and collapsing buildings. In order to minimize the impact that earthquake can have it is most important that safety precautions are observed and altered to. The local government implemented the “National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill” where the people practice the safety precautions of earthquakes. It happens to reduce the impact of earthquake to the people.

            Earthquakes strike warning; life-protecting actions must be taken immediately at the first indication of ground shaking. There will not be time to think through what to do. Therefore, of all earthquake preparedness measures, earthquake drills are the most important. Their purpose is to help the people learn how to react immediately and appropriately. Effective earthquake drills simulate actions to be taken during an actual earthquake and actions to be taken after the ground shaking stops. Building evacuation following an earthquake is imperative due to potential danger of fire explosions.

            There are lots to consider when it comes to emergency preparedness overall, and a practice drill gives you a chance to practice either parts or all of it. In simulating a real event is necessary to polish your disaster plans. We need to take a part in this National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill program of the government for us to be safe.
